Last week I saw a new Alltel Commercial…where’s Verizon?
I’m sure most of you are familiar with Chad, our buddy from the Alltel commercials preaching the benefits of “My Circle.” These ads showed the ever-so-cool Chad easily one-upping the wannabes from AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. For the longest time, there was a nice little Verizon representative, too…where did he go?
In the latest ad, a basketball game script, he is very noticeably absent. Must have been still in the locker room. Actually, I bet he was just chilling in the hallway, because he just stole Chad’s girlfriend…namely, all his wireless service. 
(To those of you who aren’t obsessed with cell phone companies, Verizon Wireless recently purchased Alltel, and will take over their cellular service within the next few quarters)

The Verizon guy is back on the commercials now. My husband works for Alltel and keeps me in the loop on what’s happening there. Alltel won’t become Verizon Wireless in South Dakota because that’d be a monopoly with Verizon being the strongest carrier here already. They’ll know sometime soon what Alltel will become. If you’re interested I can let you know what I find out. Lemme know!
